Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, Engineering Studies, the Study Manager is accountable for the scoping and delivery of studies from inception through to FEL3 completion. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Study Development and Management - 60%:
Deliver study phases in alignment with study execution strategy
Collaborate with Project Managers for effective transition from study to project execution phases
Support business case development and develop conceptual studies, pre-feasibility, and feasibility reports jointly with Project Sponsor, Project Owner, and Finance, Engineering, and Operations teams
Carry out necessary assessments, co-ordinate technical and financial modeling, and scenario analysis to develop and evaluate options to achieve target outcomes of the proposed project
Conduct value engineering and facilitate decision-making with stakeholders
Keep stakeholders, including relevant technical teams in K+S, engaged [and bought in/brought along] throughout study development
Continuously evaluate studies’ alignment with and benefit to Operations Needs, Enterprise Risk, and Strategy
Vendor and Contractor Management - 40%:
Oversee and coordinate portfolio/program-level work with engineering consultants, design partners, equipment vendors, and other contractors

Your Profile

Bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering
Professional designation preferred
3-5 years’ Engineering experience in potash or heavy industry
Demonstrated experience in Engineering environments and working with EPCMs and consultants
Experience in FEED projects
Demonstrated proficiency in fostering business-focused collaboration, aligning cross-functional teams and driving projects to successful completion
Established leadership abilities, including influencing the decision-making of internal and external stakeholders, and coaching, mentoring, and developing a team
Proficient in data-driven decision-making and business intelligence, leveraging analytical tools and methodologies to enable informed strategic decisions, optimize processes and drive continuous improvement
Proven ability to analytically solve problems with a creative approach, and accepting responsibility for outcomes
Employment is subject to successfully completing KSPC's pre-employment checks which may include criminal record check, education verification, and drug & alcohol testing.
This opportunity can be located at the Bethune mine, or the Saskatoon head office.
