Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Construction, the Construction Lead is accountable to manage and lead the construction, commissioning and handover of KSPC projects. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Construction Planning, Execution and Leadership - 50%:
Develop construction execution plans for construction projects
Deliver projects safely, on time, on budget, and in accordance with the execution plan, required methodologies and regulatory requirements
Provide active leadership to maintain safety integration in team expectations, deliverables and field execution activities including planning, construction, commissioning, and handover to Operations
Review and provide input into related project documents for constructability, design improvements and completeness
Review and approve plans, documentation and reporting developed by 3rd party vendors
Oversee coordination of field activities
Execute and lead the project such that safety is integrated into execution activities and KSPC is in compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental regulations and internal polices at all times
Coordinate and lead Construction kick-off meetings, weekly and monthly progress meetings with contractors and vendors
Coordinate and work closely with HSSEQ and Quality Control departments
Collaborate effectively with Project Planners, Schedulers and Cost Controllers to ensure successful project execution
Oversee all construction and commissioning LOTO and Permitting processes to monitor and coordinate contractors
Coordinate with Regulator Inspectors to sign off on compliance with regulations
Coordinate construction execution with Internal and External Stakeholders
Coordination and Interface with Operations
Construction Management Systems, Processes and Controls - 10%:
Participate in the development of the Projects department processes with the intention of building these processes to streamline and facilitate best practices in construction
Continuously improve construction processes
Ensure adoption and implementation of construction tools and processes
Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Support - 10%:
Participate in the development of the Projects department processes with the intention of building these processes to streamline and facilitate best practices in construction
Continuously improve construction processes
Ensure adoption and implementation of construction tools and processes
Sub-contractor integration and management - 15%:
Monitor and coordinate contractors’ activities, outputs, risks, issues and requests for information
Project Team Leadership - 15%:
Lead the team responsible for construction
Develop and retain people with the right skills and capabilities to effectively execute projects

Your Profile
Our company values and recognizes the diversity of the workforce and encourages individuals with the equivalent combination of education and work experience. The ideal candidate will have:
Journeyperson trade and/or bachelor’s degree in engineering
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
A minimum of 12+ years’ experience in technical practice and people management
Construction management and project management experience required, including managing employees and contractors
Work effectively with internal/external clients and stakeholders to ensure needs are met and identify/mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle
Demonstrated proficiency in fostering business-focused collaboration, aligning cross-functional teams and driving projects to successful completion
Established leadership abilities, including influencing the decision-making of internal and external stakeholders, and coaching, mentoring, and developing a team
Proficient in data-driven decision-making and business intelligence, leveraging analytical tools and methodologies to enable informed strategic decisions, optimize processes and drive continuous improvement
Proven ability to analytically solve problems with a creative approach
