Your Responsibilities
The Surveyor is responsible perform survey work on site required by the operation and any associated operational or construction activities. This work includes but is not limited to survey data/database collection and management, ground disturbance permitting, 3-D scanning, and maintenance of site survey controls. Additional work includes:
Bathymetric volume surveys of Cooling Ponds via sonar and remote-control boat.
Warehouse product volume surveys via 3D scanner.
Ground Disturbance Permitting as requested.
Field to Finish Workflow. Processing of collected field data in office.
Line locating of KSPC facilities for Saskatchewan 1st Call and 3rd party requests.
RPAS data as requested. Deliverables include LiDAR, photos, orthomosaics and vídeo.
3D laser scanning projects as requested.
Right of way/boundary staking for pipelines and pad-sites.
Elevation circuits.
Subsidence monument monitoring via static GPS and post processing.
Fly inspection drones inside plant vessels, tanks & confined areas.

Your Profile

Graduate of post-secondary studies in Geomatics or related program.
Previous survey experience required, preferably in an industrial plant environment.
Civil 3D experience required.
Working knowledge of Trimble GPS, TSC3/TSC5/TSC7 data collectors, SX10/SX12 total stations and Trimble 3D scanners required.
Working knowledge of Trimble Business Center software required.
RPAS Basic Operations License required. Advanced Operations license considered an asset.
Working knowledge of DJI RPAS required.
Working knowledge of DJI Terra software required.
Experience with FARO 3D Laser Scanners considered an asset
Experience with FARO Connect software considered an asset.
Experience with Flyability Inspector software considered an asset.
Experience with Flyability Elios 3 drones considered an asset.
Experience with Mission Planner software considered an asset.
Takes safety seriously.
A desire to work outside in year-round elements.
Open minded with strong interest in modern survey technology
Strong communication skills
Comfortable with heights and plant environment setting.
Working knowledge of Radio Detection and Vivax-Metrotech line locators considered an asset.
Employment is subject to successfully completing KSPC’s pre-employment checks which may include criminal record check, education verification, functional fitness evaluation and drug and alcohol testing.
