Trainee program production

For production engineers specializing in chemistry, process, or processing technology.

During the course of an organized familiarization phase covering about six months, you will be perfectly prepared for your subsequent role as a plant assistant at one of our production sites. During the trainee program, you will learn a wide range of production and processing methods at some of our company's most diverse operating sites. As part of the traineeship, you will also spend one month at our K+S Analytics and Research Center. Through your practical work, you will strengthen your excellent theoretical knowledge. We will encourage your personal development through targeted qualification activities, thereby opening up additional career opportunities for you.

Technology trainee program

For technology engineers specializing in electrical engineering, energy engineering, power plant engineering, or mechanical engineering.

With us, you will have the opportunity to put your knowledge into practice from the very start. After a short familiarization phase at the company’s headquarters based in Kassel, you will begin working at one of the production locations of the K+S Group straight away. Exciting and meaningful tasks will be waiting for you here. During the course of your trainee program, you will be introduced systematically to your future activities in roles such as planning engineer, project engineer or assistant to the technical management. By getting to know a number of sites and business units, you will gain insights into the various tasks performed by our engineers, while building up your own professional network. Your personal training plan, combined with a qualification program including technical and general qualifications, will ensure your systematic development. After completing the trainee program, you will be assigned a role as junior engineer at one of the K+S Group’s operating sites.

Example of your trainee program

After successful completion, you will take over a fixed area of responsibility, e.g. that of a production assistant or a planning and project engineer. The job rotation during your trainee program will prepare you for your future job.

Who can apply?

To be eligible for our trainee program, you must have successfully completed a master’s degree at a technical university, higher institute of technology or university of applied sciences (college), specializing in chemical engineering, processing or process technology.

Ideally, you have already gained initial work experience through internships or as a co-op student. In addition to your good English skills, you will convince us with your practical experience using the MS Office products, the resilience and team-working ability that you demonstrate on a daily basis.

What is the selection procedure?

The screening and appraisal process commences as soon as we have received your comprehensive application. As part of the selection process for the K+S Trainee Program, we will conduct interviews in conjunction with the HR and production departments.
