Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, Indigenous Relations, the Corporate Affairs Coordinator is part of the Procurement & Corporate Affairs department and participates in a wide variety of external (Indigenous Relations & Government Relations) and community investment activities with a particular focus on administration and coordination. This position supports KSPC's commitments to Indigenous inclusion and continues to build and sustain positive relationships with local Indigenous communities through various approaches including community investment, recruitment and retention planning initiatives and procurement practices and also supports KSPC’s relationships at municipal, provincial and federal levels as necessary. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordination of Information and Resources - 70%:
Coordinates and distributes the incoming requests and information as it relates to land management local to the Bethune mine.
Assists in the coordination and distribution of Indigenous Relations information across internal and external channels as necessary in cooperation with other KSPC departments.
Supports KSPC’s Importance of Indigenous Relations training program as necessary.
Completes purchase order generation, expense claims, credit card reconciliation, travel bookings, budget tracking, monitoring of various inboxes, monitoring inventory, and other administrative tasks as required.
Supports KSPC’s commitment to Indigenous inclusion within procurement by coordinating meetings with new and existing companies and suppliers.
Assists in the organization and promotion of the community investment program as it pertains to Indigenous Relations which may include managing requests in sponsorship software; booking and attending partner meetings; assisting in the activation of sponsorships (sending banners, swag, logos, ticket giveaways, employee volunteer opportunities, etc.).
Internal and External Relations - 30%:
Assists in the planning and execution of internal and external events throughout the year.
Assists with visitor experience on site as required (room set up, etc. for guests).
Acts as liaison to community partners, attending events and job fairs, and general assistance for Indigenous Relations initiatives.

Your Profile

Certificate or Diploma in Business, Communications (Public Affairs or Journalism), Marketing, Human Resources or related field.

Excellent interpersonal with the ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
