"We have a clear agenda for aligning the quality of our products even more closely with our customers' expectations by the end of 2019. At the same time, we will continue with our goal of further increasing production," says Alexa Hergenröther, CEO of K+S's Europe+ operating unit.
After the start of the potash plant in the summer of 2017, production reached the capacity of slightly more than 1.4 million tonnes planned for this ramp-up phase last year. For this year, the production target is 1.7 to 1.9 million tonnes. Due the additional work now being planned to improve product quality, it is currently expected that the lower end of this range will be reached.
