The site at a glance
The Kalikai is known among shippers and ship owners as a particularly efficient, flexible, and reliable storage and handling facility. We maintain warehouses and silo cells for dry bulk materials with a total capacity of 405,000 tonnes on a property of over 95,000 m2.
At the 500 m long quay we handle about 500 sea and inland vessels per year. 3.5 - 4.5 million tonnes are handled each year, of which more than 1 million tonnes in containers. They are distributed by truck from the Kalikai to the various terminals and from there mainly shipped to the Far East. The Kalikai is the leading port in Hamburg for the export of bulk goods.
Within the framework of our business activities, partnership and long-term cooperation with shipping companies, railway and haulage companies as well as warehousing and handling companies is an integral part of our logistics management. It is supplemented by close cooperation with port authorities, pilots and moorings, tug services and ship suppliers, associations and political bodies.
